- 1. How can I find out flight information?
Firstly, you can obtain on-line information on departures and arrivals from our web page.
The same information can also be found through our Airport’s telephone information service: 690 17 52 / 690 17 53
If you need further or more detailed specific information regarding flights, lost luggage, prices or connections, you should contact the corresponding airline directly. Their telephone numbers can be found in the airlines section.(*) It is in any case recommended that flight times be confirmed with the airlines
- 2. What items are not allowed to be carried in the cabin (hand luggage)?
Knives and similar objects, crochet and sowing needles, penknives, tools in general, golf clubs and similar objects, gas lighters, aerosols, gasoline, batteries, cork-screws or any sharp or pointed object.
- 3. What is the possibility of recovering objects lost in the Airport?
SCL has a Lost Property department. Should an object be found in the public areas of the Airport, it is taken to these offices. You can then call to find out whether the object has been found. The telephone number for this is 690 17 07.
(*) If the lost object is not in this department, this means that it was not found by SCL personnel.(*) This department is not concerned with lost luggage. The corresponding airline should be called directly concerning this.
- 4. Can I leave the departures hall while waiting for the departure of my connecting flight?
You may leave after completing the procedures corresponding to passengers entering the country. To re-enter the area, you will have to pay the corresponding boarding charge (which is not payable if you do not leave the departures hall).
(*) It is not recommended that you leave the Airport when awaiting connections as you could risk missing the flight. - 5. What should I do in the metal detector if I have some kind of metallic prosthesis?
In this case, inform the security staff responsible for the revision about the existence of a metallic prosthesis so that they can carry out a manual check at the side of the metal detector.
- 6. With what anticipation should I arrive at the Airport for domestic and international flights?
It is recommended that you arrive 2 hours in advance for international flights. One hour is enough for domestic flights.

On the first level, international arrivals, and the general office on the first level facing the cargo section parking, East Section.
- 8. How can I travel to and from the Airport, and what kinds of official transportation are there?
There are buses traveling to and from the city (“Centropuerto” and “Tur Bus”). There are also official transfer mini-buses and taxis to be found on the Airport’s first public level.
- 9. What documents should I present when traveling?
Passport, tickets and identity card for international flights; just identity card and tickets for domestic flights.
It is recommended that you enquire of the airline prior to your departure date. In the case of doubt about documents or visas, you can contact International Police (also prior to departure date) and thus obtain more complete information for each particular case.

This can only be checked with the airline as it will depend on various factors such as the country to which you are traveling

- 17. When traveling to Easter Island, do I go to domestic or international flights?
Passengers for Easter Island should enter through domestic departures, but arrive through international arrivals.
- 18. What is a Code Share flight?
This is a flight shared by two airlines but in one aircraft.
